While everyone is debating whether the second strike was legal, let me point out that none of the first strikes were legal. If a foreign government started blowing up US boats, killing Americans, in international waters, that would be illegal. The US would consider that an act of war.

I think it’s pretty clear at this point that one of the main impacts of LLMs is to disrupt thinking: to make it so that far too many people never properly learn how to do it, and then to control the output so there are thoughts that people never learn how to think.

I'm unclear who stealing Venezuela's oil is supposed to appeal to. The Trumpiest counties in the US all pump oil right here in the US. Are they really excited for more Venezuelan oil to hit the market and depress oil prices?
This. Iraq was about the oil, yes.
But shit's changed in the last 20 years. Fracking may be an environmental catastrophe (and it is), but the other side of that coin is I'm really not sure they're telling the truth that we need to have anything to do with Venezuela's oil.
