Over the next week (what thanksgiving break? lol) I have to read my book again and finalize it before it goes to *print* and I’m literally paying attention to details like colon vs comma and I’m sure most authors are like this and that’s one reason why you should buy our books. We really care.

For the [ast few years I've been editing the short fiction for Star Ship Sofa, a venerable SF (not F/H) podcast. It's a small joint, and I've turned it primarily into a reprint market as we can afford only $50 per story.

I've also turned it into a reprint market because writers need money fast. 🧵

Q - Why, given all the terrible things happening in the world, do people care about this?

A - Micro-analysis: They see it as an example of government overreach and bureaucratic cruelty towards an independent farm. Macro-analysis: The world is getting dumber every day.

The President called for the murder of Congressional Democrats.

Congressional Democrats should call for his immediate removal or resignation.

Congressional Republicans should condemn his statements and call for him to recant them.

It's the very least they should be doing!

Why do so many Canadians look with horror on the state of things in the U.S. and then support politicians and policies that are trying to make us more like the U.S.?
I just don’t understand it.

Obviously you can pick this "plan" apart in a million ways, but one thing to note is that before the ACA there was no easy way to compare the costs and benefits of different plans, the ACA marketplace lays it out very clearly. As consumers, we are way more informed now.
Cassidy: "The president is proposing that we take the $26b that would be going to insurance companies if we just do an extension and give it directly to the American people in which 100% of the money is used for them to purchase healthcare on their own terms. That makes them an informed consumer."
