Jesus, can you hear me? Good, the comms are working. Now, you're gonna need to run if you want to evade those Roman soldiers. Hold down A to sprint. Go ahead and try it. ... Good work! You just might be the savior yet. Now pick up that AR-15 and let's do some target practice.

They totally threw Bill Clinton under the bus with photos of him being inappropriate with teenagers in the files. I'm a big fan of him being thrown under the bus I just think we all know there's a whole more folks who can fit under that bus.

Fuck all of you saying "this is inevitable" or "it's here deal with it" or even "it's fine"/"it's not a big deal". Be antihuman on your own time. This is a moveable needle. It's ruining lives (mine included already), ruining the environment, ruining art and creativity, isn't needed and isn't wanted.

I agree with the mood that most fans have about the end of the SAS-OKC game.

But trying to frankenstein last minute rules into a system that is dependent upon interpretation (and is already painfully burdened with consistency issues/star bias) is going to create more problems than solutions.
Not only did Major League Baseball shorten games with its wide-ranging rule changes, but it did so by eliminating many of the sport’s boring moments.

The NBA should do the same and keep the main thing the main thing, writes @ekoreen.bsky.social.

I'm glad no. 2 was listed here. The Spurs backcourt played incredibly well after the cold start and did as good a job as one can do against SGA.

The Thunder are ridiculously talented.

It may sound radical, but if one guy has so much wealth and power that he can use the large newspaper he owns to publicly threaten to ruin a service we all rely on, presumably as a bargaining tactic to get lower rates, we probably need to tax that guy until he can't do that anymore.

But Amazon may give up its long-standing partnership with USPS to deliver packages itself, which could spell disaster for the mail agency.

I have been pulled into two separate emails chains where I figured out the bosses were using AI to respond to one another. They didn't know the answers so they were using the work-embedded copilot to generate responses.

Almost none of the content was correct.
The numbers in here are hilarious.

Do you use AI on the job?
Execs: 87%
Managers: 57%
Workers: 27%

Planned investment by 2030: $5T
"Necessary" annual revenue to justify that spend: $650B
Current annual revenue: $50B
Three years into the generative-AI wave, demand for the technology seems surprisingly flimsy

And how much juice has Cuban regained now?

Path 1: Everything has been scrubbed.

Path 2: DOJ plays blocker, Bondi eventually of cracks to pressure, and starts releasing cherry picked items that unintentionally increases media frenzy. Trump replaces her with the most vile and corrupt AG in the land - Ken Paxton.
So with Congress voting unanimously and Thune saying he might follow suit before end of business today, what exactly is the play here? All the branches sign off and Trump even puts his signature on it so he can be seen as releasing the files, only for Bondi to stonewall due to "open investigations"?

In my company-wide call today, the execs celebrated awesome Q4 growth and then followed up with:

- threatening employees to either use AI or be replaced by those who will

- called out specifically those close to retirement to reiterate the message

- AI will eventually replace jobs, deal with it

And they're being used to outsource jobs. Decades of experience and volumes of work crafted by employees are being dumped into co-pilot to create training programs to fast track the on-boarding of cheap labor.

This is why the c-level parasites are so excited about AI.
Moreover, they are the biggest plagiarism machines in the history of the world. They can not get answers correct without one of us having done it for them in the past, and then getting our work stolen by the corporation that designed the plagiarism machine and got all the money for it
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.
