Addendum #2: And a block if you consistently post any AI generated images.
Addendum: Also a block if your TL is only reposts or nothing but politics, memes, and/or pics without attribution.
Note to new followers: If I can't figure out who or what we have in common and/or if you don't have an already established presence here, I will block. The space is for me, my interests, and my friends.
I'm glad to have independent radio, not to mention a variety of music-savvy friends, to introduce me to new music and also that I'm in a position to buy from the artist.

Reminder: Bandcamp Friday is tomorrow.

This is a gift. Thank you to @siembranc.bsky.social for sharing this new toolkit with what they did when Border Patrol showed up in NC: docs.google.com/document/d/1... - share far and wide especially with our comrades in MN and LA (New Orleans esp).
Toolkit: how we dealt with Border Patrol
In November 2025, Border Patrol announced it would be coming to Charlotte, North Carolina. We only had a few days’ notice. Just like in Chicago and Los Angeles, they weren’t coming to “keep the peace....

Fuck the Salvation Army.
It's that giving time of year again, so this is a reminder that no matter how they try to dress it up, the Salvation Army is not a charity.

Prince was notorious for this, too.

All of his charity work was accredited to "Chris."
And he did it because he wanted to be doing the right thing, not for publicity. That's what elevates him to legendary for me. So many celebrity donations are cynical PR exercises.

From the comments I learned this is a “tunnel book” and apparently also sometimes called a “peepshow” so yes it’s very cool and also yes I chuckled.

This kind of message is also a scam.

Generally speaking, unless you’re involved with tech bro masculinity cults online, any sort of “t.me” link is trying to send you to a Telegram spam bot to trick you into sending them money. 😆

This composition had eluded me for nearly a decade, but yesterday I was finally able to capture it. A train rolled through just as the Duquesne Incline was crossing over the tracks in #Pittsburgh, creating a picture perfect winter scene. It was worth the hours and hours I've waited over the years.

Much better than "chick flick"
Variety called it "A sockeroo woman's picture." That's quite a recommendation.

Studies show that singing lowers levels of cortisol, the primary stress hormone. Singing may rebalance autonomic nervous system activity by stimulating the vagus nerve and improving the body’s ability to respond to environmental stresses

Singing may be the world’s most accessible stress reliever
