Picked a good day to have a head cold and stay home from work. First snow of the season, even just couple inches, is always the worst because everyone in #Pittsburgh seems to forget how to drive in winter.

Current view: The Allegheny County Courthouse. It will be pretty in the snow, too, tomorrow after we get a few inches in the morning. #Pittsburgh
The front of the Allegheny County Courthouse, built in the late 1800s of granite and with a tower and turrets, the roof now all red tiles. There are bright spots of light all along the facade from sunlight reflecting off of windows of the building across the street.

This morning's cloud drama - sunshine to the south of the city, cloud-covered to the north... but not for long. That approaching cloudbreak is pretty remarkable as the sunshine approaches.

Bless them, like last year, staff let us into the store about 30 min. early for 8 a.m. doors to get warm. Snagged "my" chair and list ready for when they call #31.

This is why my first stop is always here - Music To My Ear is sadly not on bsky, but has the best run #RSD #RSD2025 shop in the area.

Giving thanks today for the owner who has preserved this absolute unit from the 1970s. I left downtown the other day awash in nostalgia.

But seriously, am thankful for Bob, health, home, fam (actual and chosen), and music. Thankful we're in a position to resist and to give. #Thanksgiving

Truth. 'Bout got knocked off my feet in the parking lot at Gooduear in East Liberty - this big intersection has no tall buildings or trees to break the howling wind. But the clouds blowing by were pretty cool.
