McMorrow: What Trump has done is weaponize us against each other, when everybody needs hospitals, good schools, and health care.

It has become this battle for scarcity, when we’re the wealthiest country in the world. We should not be fighting each other for our basic needs.

It shouldn't get lost that just today, Senate Republicans have voted to close nursing homes, close rural hospitals, and cut food stamp benefits for children and veterans.

My state has had a legislative GOP supermajority for 22 years. Missouri is ranked:

50th in classroom funding
49th in starting teacher pay
7th highest in gun deaths
6th highest in maternal mortality

Republicans can’t govern and you can look at every red state to come to that conclusion.

Here's one Democratic lawmaker who is saying Trump's bombing of Iran represents an impeachable offense:
This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

“ICE” as snatching people from churches now. Never forget they said this👇🏾

MAN AT CHURCH: “We don’t want this in our property.”

ICE: “The whole country is our property.”

No IDs shown, non-government out of state plates, basic tactical vests that just say police. Who are these men?

Worth noting that this is also what the UK government review found, it just ignored all the evidence in its conclusions.

Here's my set of takes on Biden and his age and ability to do the job.

1) The decision to seek reelection was very obviously the wrong one, and indeed I'd say catastrophically so. *At the time* it may have been defensible but with the benefit of hindsight, it was a terrible mistake.

I see people comparing Trump to 1700s mercantilists. That’s not quite right.
Even 18th century mercantilists knew that if you were trying to use tariffs to boost your trade surplus, you wanted to tax imports of *finished goods,* not the *inputs*

Opinion | Trump’s trade policy is stuck in the ’80s — the 1680s
Tariffs are counterproductive. As Adam Smith showed us a long time ago.
