The part of Mamdani's speech that I found most exciting was "you dismantle the conditions that allowed him to gain power. That's how we stop Trump — and the next one."

We need popular political figures to point out that Trump is not an anomaly and there are plenty more to take his place.

As I unpack my evangelical baggage, a new discovery: the idea of the Bible as inerrant is much less credible than I thought.

One slightly depressing truth we keep encountering on Origin Story is that almost every political term you can think of (socialism, populism, fascism, liberalism, democracy) has multiple definitions, shifting over time, so there is no solid, eternal meaning to hang on to. It's always an argument

World Vision UK have been in the news for the wrong reasons. I made an interesting discovery: they're members of the Evangelical Alliance, but they choose to hide it.
There's no mention on their website or their annual reports. Seems strange. I wonder if staff are aware?

The next time Jimmy Carr harps on about free speech he should never be allowed to forget that, in order to co-headline (?) with Louis CK in the big comedy wash, he had to sign a contract promising to be mega-woke for Saudi Arabia.

So far there have been zero trans women reported as having visited epsteins pedo island. But lots of people who want you to think trans women are threats to children seemed to have gone there at some point.
