There is no catch. These are already numbers that many folks with employer based healthcare are paying (9-15% rise YOY which has wiped any raises over the past 5 yrs). The same rules are already in place for PPO plans. What everyone wants is a consistent number, even if it slowly rises.
Here's the catch:
1. COST: To pay providers US rates (~200% of Medicare), the total premium is ~$640/month.
2. NETWORK: It's a private PPO, not a universal system. You're locked into a network.
3. ACCESS: It's tied to your job, not guaranteed for all citizens.
4. A PC Dr is your gate keeper for care

I went a third of a century accepting, on the testimony of a cartoon, that coyotes chase roadrunners before I ever saw the real thing.
Wonder why this scene looks so familiar...

A Short History of Children's Hospitals
The MAHA claim that there was “no autism when we were kids” has apparently now evolved into the even more nonsensical idea that “kids weren’t sick” at all.

Few Chicago DJs have garnered the kind of mythical status of Lee Collins, who issued few recordings of his own but whose skills behind the turntables earned him international praise. I talked to eight different people about his life and legacy for the Reader.
Farewell to undersung house and disco maestro Lee Collins - Chicago Reader
Lee Collins was a DJ’s DJ, with an ear for obscure tracks that could drive parties into a frenzy on both sides of the Atlantic.

me actually going to Wal-Mart in 2002: damn, I really can't believe it... I can't believe they don't have the new …And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead album… and I can't believe 9/11 was a year ago
This is doing numbers on social media right now and it's so depressing how people truly yearn for this shit and want to preserve that feeling indefinitely like a mausoleum of false memories.

The smell of chiles roasting at the farmers market, parking lot, or neighbors house, lets you know that autumn has arrived in the southwest.
It's glorious.

23 hours flying Denver to Denver. I was supposed to fly to Montreal via IAD. Delay after delay. Plane took off only to return 30 mins later. I was going to miss the meeting I was supposed to attend the next day. United put me on a flight back to Denver. Which was delayed several hours.
What is the bleakest flight you've ever been on? Combination of airline, time of day, destination. Mine was probably a Spirit red eye to Pittsburgh on a Tuesday in February

I agree no one should die bc of their political beliefs, but also? Don’t call that man’s words mere “political belief”. Don’t call him a mere “conservative thinker”. And despite what the media and the politicians want to tell us: when it comes to political violence, “both sides” are NOT the same
