Related; Mick Gordon gave a GDC talk forever ago explaining how he worked on the DOOM soundtrack and he (correctly) hammered that the process *is* the art, and if you want to do something different you have to change that.

AI evangelicals do not fathom this process, at all.

Once again, Nora Ephron (his mom) also figured out who Deep Throat was because her husband left a bunch of notes saying MF and when she asked him if it meant Mark Felt he (very badly) tried to cover it up by saying it was My Friend... then she named the Bernstein character Mark Feldman in Heartburn

They lied about it. All of it. A thug cop shot an unarmed woman five times without justification, boasted about it to his colleagues, and then this administration tried cover it all up by arresting her and charging her with felonies.
Absolutely incredible; after shooting Marimar Martinez 5 times and arresting her on claims that she rammed them and pulled a gun, prosecutors have now moved to dismiss ALL criminal charges against her and her codefendant.
New: the govt has moved to dismiss its assault case against Marimar Martinez and Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, two people accused of "box[ing] in" a Border Patrol vehicle in Chicago on Oct. 4.

One agent shot Martinez, with evidence presented to the court that he later bragged about in text messages.

shout-out to every single person you knew in high school who thought that naming it the department of homeland security was a gross fascist overture, and would ultimately come back to haunt us.

We have to dismantle the whole thing & jail everyone responsible.

Our right-wing government is not up to the task of rebuilding public cohesion. Their big ideas are cutting spending (except on the military) and giving more money and powers to border enforcement and cops. Imagine wasting your political capital this way
This government's about-face on lawful access is boggling.
It has twice been deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. There are no delays in getting warrants *so long as police have their evidence in order.*
Just giving police the power to do warrantless online searches is frankly boneheaded.

A handful of companies control the pharmaceutical industry.

RIP mlb-tv, one of the greatest products of all time*

An incredible value and a pioneer of online streaming, to the extent MLB wound up holding a bunch of streaming parents worth billions of dollars in the 2010s

*If you weren't in a market with like 6 teams blacked out
Sea change

1. ESPN in, MLB.TV out. Thank you for your service BAMTech.
2. ESPN needs programming in quantity for its streaming service. The Sunday night game isn’t that, but this is.
3. NBC is serious about sports rights. WBD? A non-factor.
