I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

A reminder that gas-powered leafblowers are nightmare devices that are bad for you, bad for your lawn, and very bad for the environment. They fume and scream and kill the world all so you can messily and ineffectively move leaves around, leaves which are generally supposed to stay where they fell.

I did something similar except I just had one furny and its battery must've been low bc it was making demonic ass vocalizations in the night
when i was a kid, my furbies woke up in the middle of the night and all 3 of them were talking to each other in my closet and i freaked out and threw them down the laundry chute
