What’s going to happen to my friend? My friend who has a law degree, speaks 5 languages & has so much to offer, who would be tortured or disappeared in prison if he went home? My friend who’s been living his life on hold for 3 years already & doesn’t know how much more he can take?
Cutting the path to citizenship turns refuge into insecurity instead of protection. It traps refugees in permanent limbo- allowed to exist but never belong, never feel safe. No stability, no certainty, no future, no chance to rebuild after trauma. It’s inhuman.

Refugees & asylum seekers are largely a vulnerable, traumatised & disadvantaged group of people so to keep demonising & scapegoating them for political gain is disgusting & despicable. The end doesn’t justify this punching down means & in any case the end here seems to be the propaganda itself.

Honestly I’ve been S T U N N E D by the speed with which so many people have suddenly decided that Charlie Kirk was just a decent guy on a righteous mission to show the world how to disagree in a civilised manner. I thought I’d kept my friend lists free of Nazi apologists, but nope.
I shouldn't be shocked, but I'm still always brought up short to realize how many people think "civility" means "white people speaking in relatively calm voices" no matter what vile shit they say.
