@tomswarbrick.bsky.social I don’t usually listen to all of your show bc it’s prime kids tea/kids hwk time, but I turned on your conv with Rory Sutherland about 10m in & HAD to rewind &listen to the whole thing. He makes so much sense. Why is he not in politics?! More of him, please! @lbc.co.uk #LBC

@nickabbot.bsky.social @lbc.co.uk Ian Brown also covered In the Year 2525 back when I were a lass (I’m 40 now) but probably still wouldn’t ring enough bells. Quite a decent cover considering Brown’s post-Stone Roses career though #AZ2025 #LBC

@mrjamesob.bsky.social is currently doing snarky commentary on Kemi Badenoch’s insane conference key note speech. He keeps apologising but it’s genuinely better than Graham Norton doing Eurovision. I want more of this kind of content, James! @lbc.co.uk #LBC #ConservativePartyConference #KemiBadenoch

@mrjamesob.bsky.social my 8yo is currently reading Jacqueline Wilson book ‘The Bed&Breakfast Star’ published ‘94. I read it at publication when I was 9. There’s a lot of smacking in it… the main characters stepdad is even nicknamed “Mack the Smack”. I was never smacked but I don’t remember (1/2)

Oh my God.

Donald Trump and JD Vance are attacking Zelensky in the Oval Office.

This is a complete fucking embarrassment.

No matter how disgusting Trump or the pitiful J.D. Vance was to President Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian didn't back down one inch.

He's doing the right thing by showing strength to these two.

They won't respect weakness.

Expect more confrontations.

Because Zelenskyy is right.

Mo Amer’s @netflix.com show ‘Mo’ is the best TV that you’ve not watched yet. It’s funny, it’s clever, it’s informative, it’s thoughtful, it’s brilliant.

Netflix have said that there will be no season 3, but I think that they’d do well to rethink that. #Mo #MoSeason3 #MoAmer #Netflix
On The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, American comedian Mohammed Amer (Mo) discusses the second season of his Award-winning Netflix series, inspired by his personal refugee story. Mo shares how difficult it was to decide whether to speak about what was happening in Gaza after October 7th.

@lbc.co.uk @mrjamesob.bsky.social I was ready for this to be a really boring phone-in but the very first caller was amazing. The idea of two postmen chasing a parcel thief (who wasn’t really a thief!) around Moss Side has genuinely had me LOLing. Thank you so much Adam from Edenbridge!

That was marvellous.

I just wish that Hilary Mantel had been alive to see the final part of her vision realised on screen.

Mark Rylance, Damien Lewis et al: you were superb. Peter Straughan, Peter Kosminsky et al: you did justice to the source material &then some.

Sad to see the end of #WolfHall The Mirror and the Light.
Wonderful writing, cinematography, costumes and acting and will miss watching Mark Rylance as Thomas Cromwell, who portrayed the complex character with depth, emotion and courage.

As a Morrissey-obsessed teenager, I read something Vic Reeves said about him collecting pre-war cutlery. I believed it and shoved an antique pickle fork through his letterbox. Morrissey will corroborate this.

Been meaning to get on here for weeks, but it’s the #MirrorAndTheLight finale that’s finally made me sign up for the conversation.

Has anybody else noticed that the interrogation across the desk thing makes this ep seem like a kind of Tudor ‘Line of Duty’? #WolfHall #WolfHallTheMirrorAndTheLight
