I've looked at all the details of this deal to end the shutdown reached by a small group of Senate Democrats. I've talked to a number of friends on the Hill to see if there's anything I'm missing. Sadly, I am not.

This is a shit deal. It's a betrayal. It's cowardice.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

Sobering news for a lot of top Democrats, tonight, as they realize people would prefer they actually fucking do something.

Food insecurity is ALWAYS a political choice. Famine is ALWAYS manmade. People go hungry because of other people’s decisions. We have more than enough food for everyone, and enormous amounts of it are wasted—literally thrown in the garbage—on purpose.

The first two episodes of the revival of Reading Rainbow have nearly 500,000 views each 🤯

Do you know how cool that is for literacy, for book joy?! We are all worthy of reading, we are all readers 💚

And NOW episode three is out! Take a look, it’s in a book 📚🌈🦋

this feels like the corollary to we need Mamdani in NYC and an oyster fisherman in Maine and a midwestern dad in Minnesota.

we're supposed to be the party that embraces the fact that we're a diverse and chaotic nation, stop test-polling yourself to generic national oatmeal!!!
It's interesting seeing the different ways resistance has formed in different cities. Los Angeles Organized, Chicago Radicalized, and Portland Got Weird as Fuck. All 3 have had success unifying their respective cities.

I guess my point is there are multiple paths to ungovernability.

See? When the man in uniform demands, "Papers, please!" simply pull out your passport or birth certificate that we all must keep on our person at all times as American citizens. This is normal and fine!

I have an appointment later this week for the new vaccine. I've had long covid for nearly three years now and will raise hell if I get denied. Also fuck RFK in general
Today, I tried to get my COVID vaccine and was denied. Even after showing the pharmacist @govwesmoore.bsky.social 's statement that Maryland law says all Marylanders should have access to the COVID vaccine, I was still denied. They said they had to follow the box. This is RFK's fault. RFK must go.

Fascism is when you charge an elected Black Congresswoman for her 'crime' of conducting oversight of an ICE facility as her job requires—but pay $5M in reparations to the family of a white supremacist insurrectionist for getting killed while trying to violently overthrow the Govt.

This is America.

Ahead of Germany’s election, with anti-immigrant sentiment rising, they released viral videos showing life without immigrants.

Well, this is depressing as fuck. Over two years now since my long COVID diagnosis and still fighting for improvement
New Lancet study shows extremely low, 2%, recovery rate from Long COVID.

However, those who considered their Long COVID resolved were still in worse health than those who never had Long COVID.
