Not only does ICE need to be abolished, but there should be publically aired tribunals for as long as it takes to hold every last one of these thugs accountable. No one, not even the people who file paperwork or handle payroll, should be immune from prosecution.

we’ve finally found a good use for gamification
Philly been dining out on the Hitchbot thing since 2013 . It’s been decades since they whipped a battery at Santa. The craziest thing they’ve done recently was when that guy ate shit after the Eagles won and that was before COVID. Minneapolis has the belt right now sorry to say.

I was following up a Boyle 🧪 reference to alchemists, and – given the talk of the risk of AI hallucinations – would like to acknowledge that the Google AI tool offered an overview that was suitably nuanced by an acknowledgement of lack of certainty.

it's crazy that there's isopod species spanning from the deep ocean to arid deserts while still looking basically the same. this is a message against fast fashion trend chasing. find a look that is truly timeless and for all locations, like the isopod body plan

“Oughtposting vs isposting” is immediately load bearing for me
I have a theory that the general epistemic crisis has led to a lot of very online people getting used to communicating primarily through oughtposting and kind of forgetting how to deal with isposting
people gotta chill out about making normative vs. descriptive claims. it’s tedious to have to specify “of course, I do NOT support fire” if you’re talking about a house burning down.

i love how doing anything in gradle that doesn’t involve copy-pasting from an example file throws you into an absolute world of pain, between their 3 DSLs, undocumented APIs, faux-declarative stuff that suddenly turns out to be imperative, every symbol existing in 5 different contexts…

i sometimes wonder if a lot of these assholes want to live longer so they can outlive those they know are waiting to dance on their graves. i feel like that’s their biggest fear besides hell. that’s gotta be a force multiplier of their madness. sad lmao

Just for the recored: Seeing people hurt or killed, or looking at the remains of people who have been hurt or killed, robs you of the analytical faculties you need to make a sound judgment about how to react. A major feature of modern warfare is recirculating old atrocity videos to hype people up.
