If I were a Politician, I would 100% be asking why these service providers can charge extortionate prices, get away with it, and secure future govt contracts from other agencies?
Someone's getting screwed (Govt, i.e taxpayer) and someone's making profit (these companies).
That should be the focus.

Not surprising in the slightest that the #sydney station display boards are a Chrome tab running off Windows 11. Still, seeing something like this always reminds me of just how much everyone, including governments, depend on a handful of large tech companies.

I wondered whether the smaller cars and trucks, the many narrower streets, and the generally slower speeds I’m seeing in Tokyo mean a lower pedestrian injury/fatality rate than North American cities. So I looked it up. Tokyo: 1.04 fatalities/100,000 people. Houston: 15 fatalities/100,000 people.

They’ve ignored;
-more tarmac & so urban heat
-less landscape

To everyone on the internet who is dismissing all NHS jobs that aren't medical as 'bloated bureaucracy', please consider what it would be like if doctors and nurses also had to manage IT projects, do data reporting, negotiate with suppliers and all the 1,000 other things that non-clinical staff do.
