CBP has, for at least the 13 years I’ve had to deal with them, been filled with the most violent, simple minded jerks you can imagine. Which isn’t surprising since they actively recruit from a pool of people no mall security company would entrust with a mini can of pepper spray.

Where are Democratic leaders in Congress on this?! This is literally Gestapo behavior, happening right here in the United States and for fundamentally and explicitly racist reasons. Have Dem leaders filed a bill and a discharge petition to stop this? Have they filed articles of impeachment?

I'm tired of Dems complaining without actually doing anything. The GOP only has a tiny majority in the House and their members are panicked over their 2026 prospects. What ICE is doing is deeply unpopular. Under those conditions a sustained Dem effort has a real chance of stopping this behavior.

The fact that we have super wealthy and extremely stupid people trying to set themselves up as new nobles has made historical nobility, which I only know from books, far more real to me. These people were not smart, they did not rule well, and rigid hierarchies of domination are very bad.

Incredible the difference I'm observing mere hours after the child social media ban. Four boys on my street started a journey from their treehouse to find the body of a missing kid in the wilderness. Along the way, they're learning about themselves, & the meaning of friendship. Great to see
