That flamingo that escaped from a park in Cornwall and ended up in France... reading between the lines they can't bring them back because of Brexit. Enjoy living free in France fella.

The War between the Land and the Sea starts on the 7th December. The BBC continue to ruin everything Who related by not putting the last episode out on Christmas day (it's on the 21st according to wikipedia)

People say Chat GPT isn't intelligent but it refused to create an image based on my prompt "laddy donglegs", so I reckon it's got something going on

Racing through a rewatch of Stranger Things and there's a definite big drop in quality after s1. The punk rock / Grant Morrison sidequest ep of s2 seems even more weird and pointless now, esp knowing they did nothing with it.

It’s so funny how the ONE thing that was actually pretty cool about the Roman Empire - their public works projects like the aqueducts and cloaca maxima- is also something the marble statue crowd has zero interest in, and consistently, vitriolically oppose in the present.

What a misery
Welcome to Derry would be better if every ten minutes a character didn't go "You better watch your ass or you'll end up driven to Shawshank Prison in a car named Car named Christine passed a Pet Cemetery. Unless you take a shining to it."

If I was less busy I'd be doing an elaborate 'Welcome to Derry Girls' thing. You'll just have to imagine how hilarious it would be.

CONFIRMED: the gold snot covering the Oval Office is $58-apiece onlays from Home Depot that have been spraypainted.

When Laura Ingraham confronted Trump about this in the Oval—specifically and correctly noting that the tacky garbage was from Home Depot—he lied to her face and insisted it wasn't.

I don't think answer to Labour's problems is someone even more right wing and even less charismatic.

'The Long Walk' and 'The Running Man' seems a very obvious double bill.

there's a moment in PARADISE LOST where Satan arrives in Eden and realizes Hell isn't a place; it's a thing he carries within him and it'll follow him wherever he goes. and i think about that when i see these awful rich men whose monstrous wealth has enriched them not at all

In the last decade, the BBC has legitimised climate change denialism, paved the way for Brexit, defended the coup that was prorogation, over-platformed Farage's Far Right projects, and is neutral on our abandonment of human rights norms.

What is this 'good' it supposedly does?
