Had a conversation with some of our 80-90 year olds who grew up without electricity or running water
And learned that they took sponge baths growing up.
Heat the water in the kitchen
Take a bucket, sponge, and towel to the bedroom or designated area. 😳
I will never take a hot shower for granted.

I’m not sure if everyone outside academia is aware that a delay or “pause” in grant funding often means the researchers themselves are lost from the field, along with their expertise.
