but tbh if you'll allow me to editorialize a bit here, i see many more ppl ignoring the "what you are perceived as" piece than they should like, i'm sorry, but that part is Really Important to material/lived experience

I am JUST old enough to have caught a taste of the Before Times as a young adult, and yeah, I have pretty much universally found that under-30 LGBTs *literally do not believe you* when you tell them how significant the turnaround has been, and HOLY HELL does it leave me frustrated at times.
