Trying to get people to understand this has made up the past 5 or so years of my career. It's exhausting
The NYT, WaPo, LAT, CNN, etc etc have shifted to the right. Fox & the Post et al have always been hard right. Twitter & Meta are controlled by right wingers. On a daily basis, millions of Americans - probably the majority - see nothing but sanitized, accomodationist, right wing coverage of Trump.
the average person isnt paying attention. Most people have no idea whats going on.

DOE's general counsel and IT offices told DOE Sec. Chris Wright that giving DOGE rep Luke Farritor IT access was a "bad idea" bc he hadn’t had a standard background investigation needed to access the department’s system, per a source. Wright granted him access anyways. www.cnn.com/2025/02/06/c...

Concerns were raised that the DOGE rep — a former SpaceX intern — did not have the background investigation required to access the Department of Energy’s system.
