I’ve been seeing a lot of this argument lately, particularly from the right side of my former colleagues in DC. But a bandwagon argument is still a bandwagon argument.

This is why the media is mostly assiduously reporting the cancellation as being about comments about Kirk (even tho Kimmel said nothing remotely offensive about Kirk) instead of reporting the truth
"President got a late night TV show canceled" seems like one of those stories that penetrates the public consciousnesses better than stuff like "president threatens the independence of the Federal Reserve"
