My answers in English in an interview for a German newspaper (online version will be published a little later):

- I think Trump's initiative demonstrates the absolute inadequacy of his administration's expertise on modern Russia: they fundamentally don't understand what they're dealing with.

Wry description of the new US national security strategy
It addresses all the Big Four threats: Our allies, our citizens, our laws, and the rules-based international order.

A new mural has appeared in Ternopil, dedicated to children killed in Russia’s attack.

The artwork, showing a child shielding her toys from a Russian missile, was created by artist Andriy Yermolenko. He described it as “a cry for help to the global community.”

Death at the direction of the president is not a legitimate consequence for exercising a first amendment right.

It’s hard to believe that this needs to be said.

Make this go viral so every member of the House of Representatives sees it.

I wanted to share probably the most important sermon I’ve given and it’s while I’m being arrested. It’s torture pure and simple what happens at #Broadview. I’m ok, though I was thrown to the ground and choked with my pectoral cross. A review of the video shows I was peaceful - did I deserve this?

Outstanding piece; very revealing.
The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

New piece from me.

Almost nobody in the Cons Party or beyond it had noticed that the Shadow Home Secretary with two other frontbenchers and 5 backbenchers tabled a bill in May to deport 3 million people - stripping almost every pensioner, parent or nurse who did not take out citizenship of their right to live here

🧵 'Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. One may protest against evil; it can be exposed and, if need be, prevented by use of force. Evil always carries within itself the germ of its own subversion in that it leaves behind in human beings at least a sense of unease.’ 1/n

Some good news.

London is meeting legal limits for toxic NO2 pollution for the first time – almost 200 years earlier than predicted – following the Mayor’s "world leading air pollution policies," City Hall announces.

The Ultra Low Emissions Zone - and similar policies - really do work.

Today the BBC reported on asylum seekers relying on home office-funded taxis to get around. But as I heard when I visited Bristol City of Sanctuary, this isn't the reality for many - it's being forced to walk for hours to get to appointments, sometimes with kids, or miss out on essentials.

Before politicians and media get themselves into a mess. Let me clarify. For most Muslims, Sharia means living ethically, praying, and giving to charity. Any councils are advisory and are not above the law and are no different to Jewish Beth Din courts that have existed in the UK since the 1800s.

We don’t need more food banks – we need change. Repost if you agree.

As I say, it really does demonstrate why political leadership on racism matters - a non-trivial chunk of people will follow where leaders of their big party move. Heath and Wilson proved that in 1968, and Starmer and Badenoch are proving it in 2025.

I'm old enough to remember when British police were complaining about protesters being 'floppy', and how hard that made it for them. (Was it only last week?!)

If Peter Mandelson did not disclose anything about his relationship with Epstein prior to his appointment or during his vetting, or if there's anything significant that is not public knowledge, then Trump has a potential blackmail/kompromat on him.
A horrific position for UK’s ambassador.

Also, the Founders took bribery so seriously the Constitution bans it 3 separate times.

This is what you voted for⁉️

Detainees treated like violent criminals. Moved from cage to cage at 3 a.m. and sleep-deprived. Only 3 minutes to eat. Bathrooms three times a week. No towel to dry off after a shower and growing fungus on their bodies.

Listen to this once. Then listen to it again.

Corporate profits have hit record highs.

CEOs are paid 290x as much as a typical worker.

We're subsidizing huge corporations that pay lousy wages through food stamps and Medicaid.

But instead of cracking down on corporate greed, Republicans want to punish the working poor.

I was briefed on the intelligence last week.

Iran posed no imminent threat of attack to the United States. Iran was not close to building a deliverable nuclear weapon. The negotiations Israel scuttled with their strikes held the potential for success.
