Dan Akroyd is so wild. I have such fond memories of him in movies growing up, and then you see him in interviews, and he's always saying shit like, "Technically, coneheads is based on a real alien race that sometimes contacts me. Obviously, the movie is a comedy, but it's based on real science."

Comparing Smalland to Grounded is obvious, but it has some novel ideas going for it. A base of operations that can be migrated around the map and is saved to character file instead of world file and can be migrated to friends' maps is an interesting little innovation.

Taking Zefyr: A Thief's Melody for a spin and enjoying it. It's a little jank in some places (combat) but that's nbd for what the game is mostly trying to do. It gives 2000s era cartoon character adventure vibes (Sly, Jak, Spyro, etc) and I sure do miss those.

Taking Zefyr: A Thief's Melody for a spin and enjoying it. It's a little jank in some places (combat) but that's nbd for what the game is mostly trying to do. It gives 2000s era cartoon character adventure vibes (Sly, Jak, Spyro, etc) and I sure do miss those.
I really, really want to love Skate Story. I am absolutely here for the vibe, but I'm unfortunately finding the camera, timed challenges, and certain spots where there are cramped arenas or visually confusing geometry to be frustrating. I want to be a Skate Story person, but I may not be.

Etymology of cardinal directions is interesting:
East - "morning"
West - "evening"
North - "left of morning"
South - "sun side" (morning sun is to your left when traveling this way)
Predictable that our ancestors would think relative to the sun, but their "driver's side" left bias is curious!

New tomb raider trailer looks more "classic Lara", which makes me happy. I really miss the over-the-top half-indiana-jones-half-james-bond era Lara, and it looks like they might be bringing that old vibe back. I'm very much listening if so.
