Look, I think the employment story is concerning but a tightly cropped look at unemployment levels isn't going to be my main point of evidence. In historical context the rate isn't that high, nor do I think the rate of change is particularly bad.

I feel like you could write an entire book on urban infrastructure policy and liberal governance failures just using the example of Atlanta's Juniper Street complete street project.
All of this for a single mile of streetscaping.

Michigan needs to get out of this conference. Would be great to force a realignment to a rational system with 10 geographical divisions, a single tv contract, and a collective bargaining agreement with the players.
The current people in charge don't care about the future. They want the cash payout now and let the future care about the future. The most/maybe only important thing to MSU/NWern/Purdue/RU/Maryland is locking themselves into a share of M/OSU money.
