Governments don’t have a right to exist, people do. People aren’t their governments, so it’s disingenuous to suggest dissolving an evil gov is the same as threatening its people. If a gov is harmful, it shouldn’t exist

Mine is that capitalism has slaughtered more innocent people than socialism or communism—even in the iterations of them that are actually neither—so it’s really stupid to ever, ever defend (or even tolerate) capitalism. We outnumber these assholes that kill us both fast and slow.

I was going to say something about the failures of DSA strategy re:democrats. But judging by the replies I think the biggest failure of the Usian socialist movement is how many of its own supporters think socialism = government doing something.

I was going to say something about the failures of DSA strategy re:democrats. But judging by the replies I think the biggest failure of the Usian socialist movement is how many of its own supporters think socialism = government doing something.
The longer I am a parent, the more I am struck by how many Italian / Italian-American parents want a medal for doing the bare fucking minimum. Like, “Okay, I physically and emotionally abused you, but I gave you food and shelter… and love!”

Mamdani, someone who frequently stands beside protestors, says that protestors shouldn't be intimidated. says New Yorkers needs leadership because without advocates in City Hall, thats when protestors feel the need to take action.

1) He’s apologizing for saying cops are racist, basically saying he was a misguided youth. Saying he wants to help cops “do their jobs.”

I'll bottom line it for you. It wouldn't have been possible for the right to radicalize a population that had universal healthcare, living wages, & a compassionate society to live in. Unhinged capitalism/corrupt neoliberalism creates the conditions for fascism in a feedback loop.
