Needless to say no one cares about corrections and clarifications
Reminder that back in July Katie Lam wrote an article for the Sun on Indefinite Leave to Remain and the Conservatives' proposals.

It contained a number of blatant lies and the Sun published a detailed retraction.

As someone whose great(4)-uncle also fought at Waterloo, I prefer the National Army Museum's account of how black Dragoon Thomas James was "severely wounded while defending officers’ baggage from looters" to the BBC's jarringly tepid "minding officers' baggage"

Not only intrigued by the book, but impressed by what appears to be a high-quality AI-generated Alt-text description. I wonder what will happen if I double-click this?

www.cathrinewilhelmsen.net/speaking-dpw... This is something I'd love to attend if I wasn't at a wedding that day! Especially given my own journey from 30 years in software to being a counsellor specialising in burnout - join those dots if you like 😉

Polysyllabic as it may be, cognitive dissonance is merely the tip of the iceberg

This made my scalp tingle. Never thought I'd find myself saying these words, but "Thank you Trump, for helping us find what unites us"!

As I've said before there's a weird irony in ethno-nationalism becoming a successful global movement.
Think one of the indications from Vance's visit is that it is now the "MAGA International" , rather than "Trumpism in One Country", and we should be wary of all thst entails.

Descartes was wrong. It should be I feel, therefore I am. Get in touch with your feelings, both positive and negative. If you don't own them, they'll end up owning you.

If you were living through the #endtimes, when or how would you realise this?

(IMHO - Western growth has been driven by two unstable but effective Accelerated Learning Machines, science and capitalism, managed by a third, democracy. Once that dynamic is irretrievably broken, we're done)

That moment when we connect with our need for connection...
