I just watched Mother Joan of the Angels (1961) for script research on a project. Nuts. Creepy. Wonderful. Profound. Beautifully composed and shot. No wonder Scorsese loves it.

If anyone's wondering how I'm doing, I was just pouring myself a bourbon and I thought about how my niece used to say "bessert" instead of "dessert" and I thought, "I guess I'll have some bourbon for bessert" and then I laughed and tripped and almost fell but caught the glass like a hero

Feels like a good time for my Benicio story. When I did talent for the NYFF he asked me to get him a water and they only had these ludicrously small water bottles. I handed it to him kind of sheepishly and said "Sorry so small." Without missing a step, he gestured to himself and said "Sorry so big."
