this drives me completely batshit because if you want to talk horse race, there are *several*, MASSIVE logistical and operational liabilities that trump brings to the republican nomination, even if you assume his acuity is better than biden’s, which is an insane assumption to begin with

Cannot stop thinking about this. If political pundits aren't going to do the work of understanding policy issues, the least they could do is make an effort to convey basic facts about political process and messaging, the one fucking thing they're allegedly good at.

While some of the dumbest motherfuckers on this website are out there claiming that voting doesn't matter, Wisconsin voters turned their state back into a democracy through a couple of important supreme court elections.
JUST IN: Governor Tony Evers signed new legislative maps for Wisconsin.

Maps give Dems a new shot at winning majorities in WI, undo GOP's hyper-gerrymander.

They were proposed by Evers after state supreme court struck down the gerrymander. GOP passed them last week to avoid court coming back in.

What Gen Xers/Millennials/Gen Z are doing right is allowing for the OPEN recognition that being adult doesn't mean you have to give up things that give you joy, in exchange for being an adult. The "childish things" we're meant to put away are things like lack of care, not things that give delight.
im 53 and still have plenty of giggling like a 12 y o moments, so IDK if i qualify as an adult or not,

The playbook they ran against abortion is now being run against gender-affirming medical care and will be used against birth control. Oklahoma just proposed a bill to limit IUDs this week.

You need to defend trans people's health care like your birth control depends on it.

Same with sexuality. Kids don’t give a shit if two ladies or two men are married. It makes sense to them to marry their best friend regardless of gender tbh.
one thing that becomes tremendously obvious raising kids in a more diverse area is how little they actually care about things like skin color if they aren’t taught to

and you really start to understand why some folks push resegregation so hard

Yes, if for a single second you think it is acceptable to let Republicans have power at any level for any amount of time, look into the pending bills in state legislatures that would ban pornography and contraceptives, rescind child labor laws, and mandate genital examinations at elementary schools.
There are like 300 insane state laws that the far right is trying to pass right now IF YOU ARE A BORED PUNDIT PLEASE EMAIL ME
there’s no primary race and congress is unable to pass laws, so our pundits have gotten very bored
