The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

New piece from me.

Even to someone such as myself - who has studied and worked in housing for over 15yrs - Leasehold law is very complex and difficult to navigate. This sort of behaviour is deeply predatory and utterly unacceptable.

NEW: Footage of a US citizen in Chicago being rammed then dragged from her car on her way to work.

Abducted, with no warrant, her family couldn’t find her for hours.

She was later released with NO CHARGE.

A DHS statement said she “violently resisted arrest, injuring two officers”.

Osborne deserves a lot more condemnation, for not just doing austerity but doing it so cackhandedly:

1. Not borrowing to invest when borrowing costs were at essentially zero

2. Cutting spending by salami slicing every part of the public sector with no real analysis of where could take it
Late period Osborne: interest rates at zero and 50-80bn of headroom: and his priority was “don’t invest”.

I’m told Labour MPs have been told by whips to *abstain* in the vote on Nigel Farage’s ten-min rule bill on leaving the ECHR, which has left some furious. Whips’ arguments seems to be to just ignore it. Labour MPs worry it leaves Lib Dems/Greens looking like only they care on this.

It is way past time for the UK government & the BBC to get off X & for Musk to be treated as a threat to national security.

The world's richest man is using his site to promote civil war, ethnic violence & the overthrow of an elected government.

You won't win him over with another conference on AI

I was always certain taking Arseblog off Twitter was the right thing to do, but stuff like this makes me very happy I did.

This is a deranged billionaire unaccountable to anyone using his platform to incite violence. Grim.

It's increasingly obvious that Labour's strategy - call it Starmerism, Blue Labour, whatever - has got it badly wrong. It has alienated the party's core vote while failing to win over those leaning to Reform. There was no shortage of people warning them they were getting it wrong either.
Three years ago, Labour was polling in the 50s.

The Labour Party are aggressively pursuing Lee Anderson.

Reform are firmly targeting Lucy Connolly.

The Tories median voter is now Idi Amin.

If you are anywhere to the left of these people, you do not actually factor into the discourse at all.
The current Labour Party's contempt *for people who actually voted Labour* does not bode well here.
This was such a problem in 2010 - an arrogant assumption that *obviously* the Lib Dems would bail them out, despite the disdain the party was shown. There does need to be some wooing.

Unfortunately, the longer you put off spending money on things, the more and bigger the events are. For example, we didn't spend money on pandemic preparedness, and then An Event happened. And we won't spend money on Parliament until it collapses.

As always - It's Always David Cameron's Fault.

Who knows how many millions it was pushed to by Musk's platform, including in this case, in the UK?

It's now been deleted, but only after getting thousands of RTs.

Katie Lam should be hounded by public outcry to resign from parliament and it’s disturbing that not enough people are calling for her resignation
To be clear: deportations to increase cultural homogeneity is the text book definition of ethnic cleansing. Demands that come even close to this are so far outside any democratic norm and the rule of law. What has happened to a country when this is not condemned in the strongest possible terms?

You can too. Let her know what you think.
