The most optimistic read is that rapid response networks in place now will be better able to respond to the more targeted kidnappings and continue to jam up ICE whether BP is here or not. The most cynical one is that a lot of people will stop paying attention.

It's been rumored for a bit they would leave mid-November. It's not the weather, just the natural lifespan of a ~225 person operation.
Before Border Patrol arrived, ICE was still here. They were smashing cars to pull people out of them, taking people from court and check-in appointments, etc.

Bovino left LA to come to Chicago and it's not like LA saw immigration operations stop - just less showboating from his crew. So even if these circulating rumors over the last week turn out real, I'm pessimistic about how much change to expect on the ground.

I didn't expect this intro "can you see us?" question to actually have them adjust the in game settings, and it was too bright so I was like "okay maybe if I keep saying it's dark they'll cycle into a lower brightness" and accidentally made the game hideous lol

The only good AU idea I've ever had was setting Evangelion in whichever city I am/was living in and changing relevant story elements. For example, Rei, Shinji, and Asuka would take Misato to Dick's after defending Seattle-3 from Sahaquiel.

I turn off the lights. I sit cross-legged at the foot of my bed, eyes closed. I picture Cranky Kong and begin to rotate him. Soon, I picture a myriad of Kongs - Donkey, Lanky, Candy, ect. I rotate them too. Each has a distinct tilt and axis, they're spinning at varying speeds. I begin to levitate.
