Some of you were not raised by malignant narcissists, and it shows.

Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

We need a public advertising campaign about proper TV viewing height. Im begging you, stop mounting your TV like you live in a shitty sports bar. Your neck will thank you.
This place needs some Innocuous Discourse pronto. Quote this with a take that’s not political or aggressive

So many in media are ill-equipped to interview officials about what’s happening because they begin with the presumption of legitimacy and don’t know enough about history or U.S. foreign policy to foment intelligent pushback and hold officials accountable.

He’s so vein!

I’ll show myself out.
Trump phoned the WSJ when he learned they were doing a health story. Complained of the MRI coverage and says now he never had an MRI just a CT scan. Also says he takes a high daily dose of aspirin.
“I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart. I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart.”
President Trump tells the Wall Street Journal that the large dose of aspirin he chooses to take daily has caused him to bruise easily. www.wsj.com/us-news/as-signs-...

Lived around the corner from Gabrielle Byrne for a minute and one time I in a huge rush, I nearly ran right into him but did a super awkward spin/sidestep thing to avoid a collision and nearly fell down. Must’ve looked nuts so I just kept on running.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

I have this recurring nightmare that the world makes contact with an extraterrestrial species while Trump is President and it does not go great.

It's not news that Trump is an articulate buffoon, but my lord, I've met yams with more going on upstairs.

I personally think it's pretty bad that the President Of The United States has a limited grasp of our current reality. Seems bad, right? The lies are one thing, but isn't it like so much worse that he doesn't actually know the truth? Someone should look into that.

Annoyed that @mta.info decided to close BOTH 4th Ave/Pacific entrances at the same time to install new fare gates at Atlantic/Barclays that requires using an entrance a few blocks away and going up/down multiple flights of stairs. The station is huge! Put up a sign with an arrow or something.

Who would’ve guessed that AI is more widely used in spaces with less oversight and accountability.
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

No need for this to be some kind of moral panic about consumerism. Seems like this is happening because smartphones used to be a new tech with lots of new stuff every year that made it exciting to get the latest one. Now it's mostly small improvements that don't really matter to normal people.

My MIL is like a first ballot hall of fame terrible cook. She convinced the entire family that thanksgiving food is gross. Fifteen years of marriage and I’m still working to undo the damage.

She once sprinkled cinnamon on the turkey thinking it was paprika and put matzoh in the stuffing.
I think this is unfair to turkey. turkey is good but hard to cook well because it is so damn big. turkey *parts* are great but lack the esthetic appeal of a centerpiece bird.

Also Trump Admin: We are removing some tariffs to try and lower prices. Rejoice peasants.

Millions of years ago I took an amazing summer class on US foreign policy at Phillips Exeter. The teacher, was a German guy named….Werner Brandes.

Lawrence Lasker who co-wrote the movie went to Exeter and was a big fan of his history and German teacher.
