I’m glad they’re saying this out loud

Stephen Miller and Hegseth need to hear this too
Gallego: "Donald Trump is gonna be gone in a couple years. And if you're part of the military that is going after sitting members of Congress and part of the weaponization of government, there will be consequences. Without a doubt."

If you went back 20 years and explained that, in the future, libertarian morons would create useless fake money, pretend it wasn’t counterfeiting, then bid up its entirely-imaginary value, well, you‘d be called a liar.

Q: "Why is nursing being dropped as a professional degree?"

A: "Because 1 in every 20 nurses is Filipino. Because ~40% of the nurses in California are foreign born. Because ~60% of California nurses, are not white."
About 1 in every 20 nurses in the US are Filipino.♥️🇵🇭

The Philippines is better at educating and training large numbers of high quality nurses for less educational cost, than most other nations. Better than the USA.

This isn't just "cheap labor." This is pride in excellence of service to others.
I wish we could make a legally-binding contract for all these folks who are so anti-immigrant so that they could be relieved of the burden of getting medical treatment from folks who are immigrants or children of immigrants, which would free up tons of care for others.

In the era of AI it’s going to be even more important to learn things that provide meaning and beauty to human existence— which is centered around the arts

The robots will do most of the rote tasks within STEM

My hot take is that over the next 10 years, we're going to see more emphasis on and investment in the humanities at Ivy League and other fancy schools just as state schools and small privates continue to decimate and even eliminate the humanities.

If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

answer is great but also it's telling that the guy who's been saying this since day 1 has to answer about whether he's an antisemite for 5 min every interview while the same people grin vacantly at the jewish space lasers lady and call her a brave warrior

A lot of the people lamenting Marjorie Taylor Greene’s departure from Congress—and celebrating her as some kind of principled maverick—are going to end up eating their words when she reemerges in 2028 to help lead a pro-groper, pro-Fuentes “America First” faction of the GOP.

I find it eternally frustrating: Trump’s behavior is just the product of some very transparent, very disordered inner psychology. But for some reason that psychology is mostly taboo in the realm of political commentary; we have to pretend he has “beliefs” and “policy goals.” I assure you he does not

It’s nice that zohran earned a temporary reprieve from trump’s wrath for New York, meanwhile Somalis are being pushed out of MN, ICE has moved hundreds of North Carolina residents into detention, Latino communities are terrorized, kids ripped from schools, DHS pushing racism, all in the last 24 hrs
I am a citizen and so are majority of Somalis in America. Good luck celebrating a policy change that really doesn’t have much impact on the Somalis you love to hate. We are here to stay 💁🏽‍♀️
