Just to reflect on 'Italy's experience', by mid to late February Bergamo hospital was overflowing with the dead and sick, the Carabinieri were standing with sub machine guns at the entrances to some small towns in Veneto and Lombardy imposing complete quarantine. No one in or out.

Italy locked down during the night of 7th March 2020 and the major hospitals in Lombardia and Veneto were telling Europe to take notice, to lockdown, not to wait. Johnson waited another 10 days, but God forbid that Brexit Gov should listen to Europeans.

2 posts containing details of Boris Johnson's response to the initial outbreak of COVID, taken from "The Decade In Tory"

I'm glad the inquiry has been published. But it's 3 years too late. And by focusing on just COVID, it barely touches the surface.

£2.50 right now.

It is likely he has done more damage to the UK, in lives, financially, and in our reputation, than any PM in history.

What a legacy.

Using Golden Ticket to describe people who have fled war and destitution to legally seek asylum. An internationally recognized legal right that the UK is treaty bound to recognize is pure cruelty and evil. It is the language of Nazis, of deportations, of camps and life unworthy of life. Evil.

either

or
- it's aware of the precedents, and thinks, yeah, we'll have some of that.
