Good morning!

I think I'm going to move over my biggest Hotel thread from the other place as a way to say hello again.

A few years ago my former church did a multi-week study where we as a congregation went through the denominational deacon training materials, and I was so appalled that I stood up and asked straight out,

"Has *a single* poor person vetted any of this? Because this is dehumanizing and undignified"

I have a project that I'm passionate about, believe it would do good in the world, and have the skills to execute.......but can't figure out how to fit it into my schedule now that I'm not working the early shift (like I have for the past decade).

Benjamin Lay was out there THROWING FAKE BLOOD on Quakers in the damn EARLY 1700s because HE KNEW that enslaving Africans was a SIN, INHUMANE and should end IMMEDIATELY.

We're going from about $150/mo to $1000/mo. To be fair, we're expecting more income this year than last, so I was prepared to see the premiums to go up, but yeah... Also, our current insurer exited the marketplace entirely.

And I still honestly expected it to be worse.
