they have never *not* betrayed everyone. using the word "if" here reveals just how either a) naive and unsuitable for office you are or b) complicit (and unsuitable for office) you are.
1. We need to fight hard for a good ACA extension early in December and hold Republicans fiercely accountable if they betray everyone.

My insurance company revoked authorization for a surgery after I had it. I was on the hook for $60,000 I didn't have until they admitted they screwed up.
Guess I should have negotiated better terms.

Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

Can Aggies be allowed to enjoy anything at all for 48 hours without the school embarrassing us on a national level?
The Texas A&M University System will vote on Thursday on whether to prohibit faculty at its 11 universities from teaching “race or gender ideology” unless those lessons are pre-approved by each campus president or a delegate.
Texas A&M to vote on banning “race and gender ideology”
The proposal appears to mark the first time a Texas university system offers definitions of what kind of instruction related to race and gender should not be permitted.

Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis
For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Senator Schumer has failed to lead this party in one of its most critical moments, and Americans will pay the price. It’s time for him to step down from leadership and make way for a new generation willing to fight for the people instead of the powerful.

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it.
Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.

I was a third party voter for most of my life. The Democrats lost me with DOMA and did not regain me until the threat of Trump necessitated voting for the Democrats.
I no longer have a valid argument for supporting the Democrats given their unwillingness to fight him.
