It drives Jonathan Turley crazy when I remind everyone that he is just Mike Lindell with tenure. So, please make sure not to amplify this message.👇

NYTimes coverage of Trumps potential strikes on Iran fail to mention he is not allowed to drop bombs without congressional approval. The NY Times, and journalists on the whole, are failing the public. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/06...

This is one of Trump's biggest lies.
He absolutely did NOT oppose invasion of Iraq when it mattered. (I would know. I opposed it, in public. I knew who was lining up where.)
AFTER things went bad, he switched. Early TACO, or "weave."
NO news outlet should say he opposed it, when it mattered.

It really would be OK for reporters, when Trump tells them he was “loud and clear” opposed to Iraq, to respond that there is no evidence of that, and plenty of evidence in the other direction
Q: 20 years ago you were skeptical of a GOP admin that attacked a Middle East country on the idea of questionable intelligence on WMD. How is this different?
TRUMP: That was somewhat pre-nuclear. It was the nuclear age but nothing like it is today
*proceeds to lie about opposition to Iraq*

The only reason Republicans have a reputation as "fiscal hawks" is that the press refuses to tell the public basic facts about what they do when they are in office.

From an operational security perspective, this is the highest level of fuckup imaginable. These people cannot keep America safe.
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

Dems imagine that trans rights, immigrant rights, are ballast—weight they can shed to gain altitude.
Human rights, community care, ardent attention to the dignity of all people—it’s not ballast. It’s the air in the balloon.

@fetterman.senate.gov if only PA had a senator smart enough to see this coming.
The Floor schedule for next week just announced by House Republican leadership does not include Senate-passed legislation to restore $1.1B in funding stripped out of the D.C. budget in last week's C.R.

I was assured by very smart boy @schumer.senate.gov that this sort of thing could only happen under a govt shutdown. And that’s why he and @democrats.senate.gov HAD to vote alongside the GOP to give the Trump/Musk regime everything they wanted.

@fetterman.senate.gov here’s the guy you voted to confirm as SOS. Own it.
Zelensky should apologize for his dispute with Trump and Vance at the White House, says U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio: “He didn’t need to go there and be hostile. I think he should apologize for wasting our time on a meeting that was bound to end this way.”

@fetterman.senate.gov hope you’re feeling good about your yes vote for Rubio, a Putin supporter. And bonus, he’s made it impossible for transgender citizens to get a passport with their correct gender identity. Remember when you said protecting trans rights was a line in the sand for you? Me too

Trump knows he can do absolutely outrageous things because his opposition is so married to decorum that they've never noticed how effective the GOP's obstinance has become. Even when the dems cave, his PR team still spins it as if they were the holdup, just as with the shutdown last month.
