"A bad, fast-talking infomercial." Jen Psaki reacts to Donald Trump's address to the nation, "It was extremely loose on facts and he basically tried to shout his alleged accomplishments at the American people as if that was going to convince them that they were all true."

The Trump Administration is unlawfully withholding funds from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law — investments Congress APPROVED to build America's EV charging network, reduce pollution, and create good-paying jobs.

We won't stand for it, and we will be taking this to court.
Together with @governor.ca.gov, Caltrans and the California Energy Commission, we’re suing the Trump Admin for unlawfully suspending two electric vehicle charging infrastructure grant programs that would reduce pollution, expand access to clean vehicles, and create thousands of green jobs.

Notice that the parts of Trump's economic program that help working and middle class Americans — DOGE checks, tariff rebates, and warrior dividends — are popular, progressive, and non-existent. Tax cuts for the rich are unpopular, regressive and very very real.

Pelosi didn't burn vulnerable Democrats the way Johnson is burning vulnerable Republicans. He's taking the side of extremists, because they are loud and he's a coward. Pelosi didn't play that game and her caucus trusted her leadership.
Gosh, I wonder how many discharge petitions there were under Speaker Pelosi. (I don't wonder, actually.)

218 members signed the discharge petition to force a vote to extend ACA tax credits.

If Speaker Johnson refuses to bring forth the vote, he’s telling the American people loud and clear that rising health care costs are acceptable to him.

This is a validation of the Jeffries strategy to hold firm on clean 3-year ACA funding while Republicans fought amongst themselves. Rather than endorse a compromise plan he calculated that vulnerable Rs would see this as the only game in town and buckle.

TRUMP: Well, I wasn't a fan of his at all. He was a deranged person as far as Trump is concerned.
