Every parent in America must make sure their kids aren't being brain-poisoned online. What are they seeing in chats? Who are they talking to? What about their friends? What do those random nonsense things they're saying actually mean?

This is our job now. Lives depend on it.

One of the first things Vladimir Putin did on becoming president was take over NTV, the TV channel that hosted a satirical puppet show because he didn't like the Putin doll and how he was portrayed. He arrested NTV's owner and only released him when he signed the channel over. #Colbert

I don't expect Ketterling or the people who have made both-sides-need-to-calm-down their whole career to change; but the story is the violent radicalization of the american right driven by anti-abortion rhetoric in churches. that's the story. decades of domestic terrorism fueled by this rhetoric.

CDFIs are an incredible American success story. Banks, credit unions, loan funds creating successful markets that would otherwise be ignored. Federal investment in this sector pays off many times over.
New EO just out there saying “we aren’t technically eliminating these entire agencies but we are going to make them inoperable”

CDFI Fund is on the list.

Martin: And what did he engage in that constitutes terrorist activity?

Edgar: I mean, Michel, have you watched it on TV? It's pretty clear.

Michel: No, it isn't. Well, explain it to those of us who have not or perhaps others have not. What exactly did you do?

This conspiracy narrative, because it is true (and also truthy), could unite the fact-oriented and paranoid factions of our country.
Walz: I think they hate public education because it’s easier to run an authoritarian government if you don’t have a population that knows.

As predicted, women in New Hampshire had a hard time voting yesterday because of the new proof of citizenship law:

“It doesn’t have my married name on it,” she said. Town voting officials then sent her away a second time, to get her marriage certificate.

NH’s new ID requirements send some would-be voters home to grab passports, birth certificates
The law requires all new voters to show proof of their U.S. citizenship. For some, that meant making multiple trips to and from the polls before finally casting a ballot on Tuesday.

This should terrify every person in this country. The use of machine learning systems to approximate an individuals views on war and then, if they are here lawfully on a visa, tag them for deportation is about as sci-fi dystopian as it gets.

Per this post (which is admittedly from yesterday), neither Senator from Minnesota has said yet which way she will be voting on the Trump/Musk Continuing Resolution. Clearly they both need to hear from us. (By phone or e-mail, do not waste your time tagging them on Bluesky.)
@joshtpm.bsky.social is recording Senators' positions on supporting the Trump/Musk bill. Many Democrats appear to be in support.

If you follow us, please make your voice heard to your D Senator. Click the link below for more info.
We're up to 29 D Senators positions recorded; 6 Nos, 1 Yes, 22 with no position. Tomorrow's going to be a big day when a lot is going to shake loose. Less than 48 left to make your voice heard. talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/tally-3
