Really important to stress that 36 Months accused academics and experts critical of the ban of being 'paid' by big tech. When asked for evidence of this, the MD said "I haven't looked into it."

Meanwhile 36 Months itself was directly funded by a business helping promote the gambling industry.
Scoop: the pro-teen social media ban lobby group 36 Months was funded & co-staffed by its co-founder's ad production firm that was simultaneously making gambling ads

The federal government has ignored calls for a gambling ad ban while pursuing the social media ban.

Pick a Labour Party, any Labor Party.
I’m not a great political analyst, but I do feel Labour have made a tactical error by opting to be cunts.

To be fair to Boris Johnson (a cursed sentence), this is what everyone who uses ChatGPT sounds like to me. “Yeah sure it’s burning the planet and destroying the economy but I just really want my imaginary computer friend to love me.”

What’s great about the apps is that I have to update them all every other day but none of them actually work.

The Australian Public Service Commissioner confirms what many suspected:

Public servants are avoiding putting things in writing to escape public scrutiny.

But what is the Govt doing about it?

Trying to change FOI law to make secrecy even easier.

I’m reminded of a recent Judith Butler interview in which they pointed out that the history of feminism is characterised by resisting definitions of what a woman is or can be. The idea that my gametes (good lord) are what make me a woman feels as offensive as any other limitation i can imagine.
I can’t help but think something has gone wrong in your life if you’re spending your morning off work holding a sign that says “Large Gametes”.

Someone please ask literally any of these gormless fucks for an itemised list of exactly what clothing, food, medicine, and ACCOMMODATION they think $180 is going to buy them. Are they offering up their own rentals and airbnbs on the cheap? Is the clothing a balaclava, to assist with theft?
STATE (NSW):

• The 'Personal Hardship Assistance Grant' (PHAG) is a lump sum of $180(!) per person up to $900 per family available from tomorrow (March 12) through Service NSW.

• The 'Disaster Relief Grant' (DRG) is an ongoing program available by calling Revenue NSW.

The thing about the government (any government) is that you already think they’re kind of shit and then you work for them and you realise it’s terrifying how shit they actually are. These people can’t format a word document effectively of course they don’t know what social media is.
