A few days off work, so went with Mr M to the Durham University Botanic Garden today. Very grey day and raining on and off. But the tree foliage colours are spectacular this year, even in dull weather. 😊

Looking forward to learning all about how the right should move left to win elections tomorrow. They should maybe dye their hair pink, learn to love pronouns.

Inprnt does nonstop promos and it's great! Posters (and maybe other select items) are 45% off right now!
I think that's actually the best format for my DE prints... maybe some happy buyer can confirm?

AOC in 2018. Mamdani in 2025. Pretty clear what New York wants and the oligarchy and big money establishment can’t stop it from happening.

I'm happy that Mamdani won. But I won't let that get in the way of my celebrating Cuomo losing.

The oligarchy came out in full force against Zohran Mamdani's fight for a more affordable NYC.

It didn't matter.

Let his victory in the face of Big Money serve as a reminder that people have the power.

NYC also had the unlimited metrocard which meant - you could pre-pay your transit for the week or month and never think about how much it was going to cost you again (Why I remain an omny hater) and you could SWIPE IN OTHER PEOPLE which reduced fare jumping
When I was a new graduate in the year of our economic catastrophe 2008, I lived in NYC. Which was similarly great because a Metrocard is a damn sight cheaper than a car, gas, and insurance. Public transportation is for class and racial mobility. Which is why Americans are poisoned against it.
