We need stronger oversight, greater transparency, and a firm expectation that all schools – whether of a religious character or not – meet the same robust standards. No school should be able to hide poor education or poor safeguarding behind a religious label.

The two-child benefit cap was a Conservative policy designed to push children into poverty. Labour have kept it in since.

The Green Party has consistently called for it to be scrapped. If Labour now plans to end it, it should've never taken this long.
