it is not about sports. it has never been about sports. it is about banning trans people from public life entirely AT BEST, and at worst, forcing them into situations that will endanger their lives. this is why we don't play along with the "just asking questions" sports bullshit

it is not about sports. it has never been about sports. it is about banning trans people from public life entirely AT BEST, and at worst, forcing them into situations that will endanger their lives. this is why we don't play along with the "just asking questions" sports bullshit

I find activism always works best when playing dumb and kind. When I speak at city council meetings about banned books, I pretend to assume everyone is on my side, even if I've done enough research to write a book, and act the part.

None of us can be sure what will “work.” You try multiple things and find your way in. Read some histories of the Civil Rights Movement by those who participated. They were never “sure” of what would work. Some campaigns fizzled out. But persistence, creativity, determination, and focus were key.
