Starmer's Britain is one in which an NHS Doctor is dragged through the courts and shamed in the press for no crime she has committed and is ultimately forced into self-exile due to harassment Labour on all levels of politics enthusiastically supported

The disgustingly trans-hostile UK media are now hounding a trans doctor - who has already had the media spotlight on her as a victim of transphobia - because she’s decided to quit and flee the country to get away from the relentless transphobia! 😣😖

The UK media are BULLIES! 😤

If you want to understand why the BBC's stance on trans rights - only platforming cis people (and only those with a sceptical perspective) - is so outrageous imagine if it only platformed men talking about women's rights (and only those with a sceptical perspective).

This goes further than Section 28 ever did.

Compulsory outing of children to their parents.
Referral of children to medical interventions for straying outside the norm.

Those are threats being wielded against trans kids that weren't even in the demands of Section 28.

And never forget that Dame Hilary Cass belittled as "shroud wavers" those of us asking, begging, for a regime that would keep trans children alive.
One of the wickedest things Wes Streeting has ever done is push politically convenient falsehoods about suicide rates amongst young trans people. We have new data from the National Child Mortality Database that exposes the truth he tried to cover up.
New data shows surge in trans kids’ suicides following healthcare rollbacks | Good Law Project
A freedom of information request by Good Law Project has found that deaths by suicide of trans young people under 18 surged following the withdrawal of gender-affirming healthcare

1/🧵 I am pleased to see that the Scottish Minister, echoing the Secretary of State’s counsel, has adopted an argument nearly identical to the one I proposed in my draft grounds of judicial review re the EHRC interim guidance.

Schedule 3 does not contain a norm of exclusion.

The fact it's currently 2-1 (Peggie and Kelly - Darlington) in the Employment Tribunals demonstrates pretty clearly that whatever else the Supreme Court delivered it did not deliver clarity.

(More to follow when we can find a copy of the judgment.)

THOUGHT EXPERIMENT…

Imagine there’s shelter for Trans Women, where they could access care, counselling and safety from violence / abuse…

A CIS Woman, in sheer desperation, bloodied and battered bangs on the door…

Further imagine the reaction if she was turned away, back to her abuser‼️

1/🧵 Parliament tasked the EHRC to monitor the effectiveness of human rights enactments.

The Elan-Cane case was a trans rights case and also happened to be the landmark on how domestic human rights law may evolve. The court says it can’t evolve.

The EHRC has remained silent for four years.

This became a whole mash-up example of “scratch a ‘gender critical’ transphobe, find a racist” along with how transphobes lose friends & family because of their bigotry… then go chasing validation that they’re actually the victims/in the right when they don’t get the answers they want!

reform don't think trans women should be put in men's prisons bcos we're at high risk of rape.

labour changed the rules almost immediately after the election so that we are placed in men's prisons.

other than that i think their policies are identical.

The BBC is broken. Corrupt. Don’t pay your licence
When this #BBC article was first published, it accurately described Dr Beth Upton - the woman found to be harassed by Peggie - as a trans woman

The piece was then scrubbed - replacing an accurate description with a transphobic slur instead of the language trans women use to describe themselves
Not sure what is going on here, but the BBC just called Dr Upton a "trans woman" not that biological slur, grab a screenshot before the TERFs demand it is edited back!
