Just got to interview Senator Elizabeth Warren for VIBE CHECK.

We talked about Trump’s first 100 days, cracks in the Red Wall, ICE kidnappings and more. It airs next Wednesday. Also, she invited me to her house to meet her dog.

Republicans in Congress are hoping you won’t pay attention to them for the next 36 hours.

Why? Because they're pushing through their unpopular plan that gives tax handouts to billionaires and billionaire corporations and leaves everyone else in the dirt.

the DOJ just stood in front of a federal judge & said it, no implying was involved; they're arguing that if cops get you out of US territory before a judge issues an order demanding that you're accounted for--not freed, accounted for in a legal process--you never get to see a judge

astonishing
They're implying that if the government blackbags a US citizen without charges, and no one manages to get a writ of habeas corpus in front of a judge before the government gets that citizen into international waters, there is no longer any enforceable legal or constitutional protections???

Adams must be removed. The city cannot sustain being governed for nearly a year by a Mayor who is being coerced by Trump admin in order to escape charges.

This corruption poses a real threat to the people of the city. He should have resigned a while ago, but will not. So it’s time for him to go.

lol y'all thought I was joking about gifting friends and loved ones library cards. I WASN'T JOKING.

The U.S. being behind the world in literacy by 7 percentage points and its peers by 10 percentage points is embarrassing.
Absolutely terrifying literacy statistics.

Global: 86.3% literate
Developed nations: 96%+
U.S.: 79% - 21% of adults are illiterate, and 54% read below a 6th grade level. 20% read below a 5th grade level.

Add this into the “how did we get here politically?” calculus.

Library purchases are purchases. They pay the press. The press counts them towards advances and royalties. And (gasp) the book is in a library!! It’s wonderful and no one should ever feel bad about getting a book through a library instead of buying it.
I got it from my local library system, which has 28 physical copies (more than half are checked out) and 4 audiobooks. The branch library is two blocks from my house so I get most of my books from there. Hope this helps because I loved the book - I'm not a historian and knew nothing of that period.

Just read the response from Costco to shareholders requesting it back down from DEI. It was glorious. It begins "Our Board has considered this proposal and believes … an enterprise rooted in respect and inclusion is appropriate and necessary." and gets better. A happy investor #diversityandinclusion
