🚨 Lydia is running for Assembly in a district that voted for Zohran by 74-26 in the primary… without the incumbent’s endorsement
My name is Lydia Green. I’m a leftist organizer, Democratic District Leader, & queer Jewish NYer. And I’m running to represent district 52 in the NYS Assembly. Brooklyn is my home, and I believe it should be a livable home for all.

why use 30 words when 14 will do?

Europe must “persuade younger Europeans that their heritage, culture and way of life — a fundamentally Christian civilization leavened and improved but not erased by the values of the Enlightenment — are worth defending,” our columnist Bret Stephens writes.

Hi from the most festive house in South Slope

These two buildings in Park Slope call the same street different names.

Today I learned this is because, after President Garfield was assassinated in 1881, people on Macomb St asked to honor Garfield with a renaming. They were also tired of their street being confused with Macon St in Bed-Stuy

It’s going to be so cool to have a mayor who really cares about working people and goes out of his way to show it.

The good news is that my retired nurse mom loved this book I got her. The bad news is that now she insists that I read it. The other good news is that the book is great! But then the bad news is that there’s just so much tuberculosis in it
As the U.S. Government endeavors to make tuberculosis great again, please consider preordering a signed copy of my book about our deadliest infection, its long history, and why in the 75 years since TB became curable, we've allowed over 150,000,000 people to die of the disease. everythingistb.com

There’s a 200-year-old Quaker cemetery on land that now sits within Prospect Park. It’s fenced off from the public and easy to miss. Today I was happy to see a few local nannies having a picnic with their babies in the clearing nearby

At the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Juan, I saw this placard explaining a solely smell-based artwork with juniper berries and angelica seeds etc.

Spent a couple of minutes sniffing the air before a docent told me it’s only spritzed on Wednesdays

A corrupt SCOTUS just gave the President a veto on Congressional budget power and this is our Democratic leader?
The Trump administration’s threat to deploy troops in Portland is unlawful.

Here’s a thought.
