Wow, apparently UCPD arrested 4 people for felony vandalism for allegedly hanging up a cardboard bug and putting up posters. 3 are held on $20k bail, 1 on $10k bail.

The city should buy this portfolio and leverage Prop I revenue to make it happen. This would be consistent with the vision of the voters, the BOS, and our office in passing Prop I in 2020. Let’s seize the opportunity to jumpstart a real social housing program and do this now!

Everyone knows to use alt text for images. But do you include *alt images* with text? It takes 15 seconds to paste your post into an image generator, but makes a world of difference to users whose accessibility needs make text without images hard to understand.

The reason speed limiters are a bad idea is not that their intended policy outcome is bad, there is no good reason to speed in residential/urban areas, it's that they pose as a band-aid reform but aren't actually cheaper/easier/faster/more popular to implement than full-on "ban cars"-type urbanism.
My least popular (and most correct) view is that cars should be automatically limited to the local speed limit. Put the pedal to the floor and you still can't go over 25mph in a residential area.
