This opening statement from @danmcquillan.bsky.social to the Oireachtas committee on AI is well worth a read. (A masterclass in concision, too.)

Did you know that using AI in HR tech falls under 'high-risk' use in the EU's AI Act?

I'm moderating a panel at Boundless's upcoming breakfast event that could give you some signposts on navigating these considerations.

Plz, no more apps. My children are disappearing.

@elaineburke.bsky.social and @earley.bsky.social are talking all about Ryanair’s app trap, Bluesky’s over-reach in moderation, looming threats to GDPR, and the signs from All’s Fair that microdramas are influencing TV.

as always, @elaineburke.bsky.social nails it! this "100% digital" i.e. accessing digital boarding pass through their app, gives Ryanair and involved data brokers unprecedented access to your data
Something being missed a bit in the coverage of Ryanair's shift to "100% digital" boarding (which it's not) is that they are actually limiting other digital formats and favouring only their app for access to passes, which isn't a neutral utility but a data collecting e-commerce machine.
