@unchi.org just called one of the craven NH Senators' offices to leave voicemail, and he was hollering:

“You’re a Democrat! You’re the opposition party! I campaigned for you! I raised money for you! What are you DOING? Get off the mat!”

Wish I’d recorded it.

I almost hope this does become a campaign issue, if only so we can have a conversation about what is actually most closely aligned with Biblical values: starving poor children, or listening to sex workers.
James Talarico, a Texas Democrat running for U.S. Senate who has put his faith at the forefront of his campaign, follows several adult film performers, escorts and OnlyFans models on Instagram, according to an Axios review.

More of this, please. I’m astounded by how many people don’t even realize COVID is still circulating, never mind that it’s disabling an increasing swath of the population.

Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) at the Boston No Kings rally today, wore the trans pride flag like a scarf draped over his shoulders and included in his speech. "Because here in Massachusetts, we stand for what is right. We stand with trans people because trans rights are human rights."

Apparently @loritrahan.bsky.social is planning to mark No Kings Day on October 18 by ... holding a town hall at 9:30am?

Wouldn't this be a perfect opportunity for her to get out and actually meet constitutents at any of the two dozen No Kings rallies in her district instead?

Still extremely miffed at @techcrunch.com for this charming pop-up, which froze my browser so hard last night that I couldn't even force-quit it, and had to reboot my Mac in the middle of a work task:

I have called Healey's office to say that I voted for her, but since she chose to order flags flown at half-staff for a Nazi apologist, I never will again. I encourage others in MA to make your thoughts known: 617-725-4005
Massachusetts flags should not be lowered for Charlie Kirk. He was not an elected representative of the people. He was racist, sexist, homophobic, and did not support Massachusetts values of equal justice and freedom. #mapoli www.masslive.com/news/2025/09...

This is generally good advice, but bear in mind that Washington DC (and many other cities) lie within the 100 mile border enforcement zone. The rules are slightly different there, so the ACLU made another “know your rights” primer specifically for here.

Today I unsubbed from Gavin Newsom's email list (which I never subbed to in the first place). "Please tell us why you are leaving," it suggested.

I wrote: "Because Newsom takes every opportunity to throw my trans friends and family members under the bus, I wouldn't spit on him if he were on fire."

We've been trying to figure out what to do with this portion of my father's work, so if any #historians have some interest -- or know who might -- please let us know.
Anyway, we have whole photo albums that my father-in-law took over his lifetime going to biker rallies, and some of them have Klan shit like this in them. I don’t know what to do with it or if it’s even worth saving. But if you’re a historian with interest in any of this give me a shout.

Oooh, this one’s fun.

* White Collar
* Leverage (let’s add the revival as a freebie)
* The West Wing
* M*A*S*H

Fifth one’s hard. Maybe Burn Notice or Psych — though Cheers, which I was recently introduced to, is growing on me.
Reskeet with the five shows you would be happy to rewatch over and over again for the rest of your life, as your sole tv diet:

The Leftovers
ER
Ally McBeal
The Good Place
Mr Robot

(I could easily pick 5 more, love these exercises!)
