Another post I saw on LinkedIn today 'Why do I care about sustainability? Because I'm a dad'

I really wish people would stop this.

You do not need to be a parent to give a shit about stuff. And honestly, if it took becoming a parent for you to care about the world, that reflects quite badly on you

"NEWS STORIES IN Irish, many of which appear to praise China, have been circulating on a Facebook page for about a month now, it has emerged.

The stories appear to have been translated by a translation machine from English or a Chinese language into Irish." #Ireland #SpéirGhorm
A security expert has suggested that a Facebook page with news items in Irish might be an attempt by China to exert influence on Irish speakers.

"No one is angry about games not containing gen AI" is such a hell of a good point. It is incredibly off-putting to many customers, an absolute deal-breaker, yet there is no flip side to that, no consumer base clamouring for it, no demand. They can only try to wear people down into accepting it.
I saw this and had two thoughts,
No one is angry about games not containing gen AI, so if you wanna avoid being a part of the conversation it's easy.
But, since you have decided to weigh in on the conversation I guess we'll see gen AI made cosmetics in helldivers soon then

St Vincent de Paul has launched its annual Christmas campaign, saying that requests for assistance are expected to exceed a quarter of a million this year.

The charity says rising costs and increased financial pressure are driving record demand for support.

Donegal crash which changed the lives of 2 people. But what of the council's culpability? "there were no warnings signs, no road markings suggesting there was an upcoming severe bend, and it was a narrow country road." You even see this lack of signage on the N56 and bends where the speed is 100km/h

Under the Housing Minister’s plans, some of the biggest cost savings for each apartment will be found by cutting down on floor space.

It was already proposed by a Labour minister back in 1999 during Tony Blair’s peak.
Exactly. For example this gem from 1999 is now returning as Starmer policy.

Imagine Winston Churchill suggesting Jewish refugees fleeing the Nazis need to hand over all their jewellery so Winston can give tax cuts to Henry Ford, an American billionaire white supremacist.
Taking asylum seekers jewellery is a hardy Labour trope.

In 1999 Mike O’Brien MP immigration minister proposed legislation to take asylum seekers valuables worth over £2,000.

Asked if that meant taking asylum seekers jewellery in committee he said, ‘that is exactly what we will do’

Megyn Kelly suggesting Trump with teenagers at 15 is not “rape”.

It reminds me of Bred O’Brien who wrote an article & told us she weighed her child to see if she could carry a pregnancy at 9.

Conservative, religious ideology hates children.

Especially if those children are girls, LGBT or brown.

As an immigrant in the UK, this makes me sick.

It also makes me sick hearing similar from some people I talk to in Ireland, saying if Ukrainians have money, they should pay.

I've no idea what it's like to flee war or persecution, but at least I try to imagine.
I wish more people would try.
Govt minister Alex Norris is asked if the govt will take jewellery from people [fleeing war and persecution]. Norris says the govt won't be taking peoples wedding rings but they will seize assets.
