Shocking but unfortunately true
“The idea that we would give priority to not standing up to big tech over the generation and sharing of child abuse material, it’s an absolutely shocking and reprehensible assertion,” insists Micheál Martin.

what drivers see when you're wearing hi-viz vs when you're not

Really nuts how many men were like "Me Too went too far, and I need to email Jeffrey Epstein about it."

I was wearing hi vis when a motorist drove into me. Passengers in the car got out to tell me the driver was really upset because she didn't see me. I didn't have much sympathy as I was picking gravel out of my hands.

I was visible. She didn't look.
The hi viz will work great when I'm hit by a motorist looking at their phone.

What a wildly stupid idea.

Mandatory helmets and high viz is a proven remedy to reduce the number of people cycling. It effectively kills off things like Dublin Bikes.

That's why no other EU country does anything like this. Pure madness.

I was knocked off my bike in broad daylight by a driver who I suspect was texting. The Gardaí wouldn’t attend the scene (because I wasn’t hurt enough) and didn’t respond to my Traffic Watch report. The issue isn’t hi-vis jackets.

Importing the fabricated anti-trans hysteria of the UK's intentionally divisive fabricated culture wars to Ireland. Culture wars that were planned expressly to advance modern fascism. If he's not a fellow traveler, Bakhurst is either thick or only interested in clicks. Either way not fit for the job

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD.

All this does is confirm to me that these people have no idea what the important issues actually are.

You know what as well, I have to pay because it is a 'change of mind' but if this jacket is snug enough on a woman 4 sizes smaller than it is labeled? Its bullshit

So now I need to start the return online, find a printer, buy new packaging to sent it back, walk to the nearest post office and spend another 7 quid at least

Hotter summers. Wetter winters

Some NIGHTS last summer didn't dip below 23 degrees

2/2 Maybe we can save future generations. Also, maybe future generations will be far enough away to see how this one destroyed itself and just decide not to go down the same path.
February 3, 2026 at 7:02 PM
1/2 because it is all about money and selling them shit (I know you know this) so I don't know. It's capitalism eating itself. I mean, this sounds so cliché but, honestly, some decent role models maybe? But even then, I don't think you can reach the ones that are already gone.
February 3, 2026 at 7:02 PM
Absolutely not. Although, I was lucky, most the lads in my dating pool were about 10 years too old to be influenced by this stuff. Do you think there will ever be a reckoning, or reset?
February 3, 2026 at 6:40 PM
It's the classic choice though, isn't it.

Either admit you are wrong and submit to a lot of work and self reflection, or, take the easy route and continue to blame women.

And they haven't been given the tools for self reflection

A lot said on this already but what I find interesting is the slow motion mass realisation among men that after years of being led around by bad actors like Rogan et al. the romantic marketplace has unanimously opted to blacklist them and now they're panicking. No amount of podcasts will fix that.
📢 “A huge amount of men between the age of 15 and 50 will not pass on their genes. They will effectively die out of the gene pool ... Should society intervene?” Steven Bartlett asked last year.
Two top podcasters have identified a global decline. The problem, they say, is women

I would have liked to have children.

I BLAME MEN.
February 3, 2026 at 1:41 PM
OK. Cool. So, can I blame men because I never had kids? Should society have intervened to insist some guy had kids with me?

Never 'passing on your genes' instead of saying never got to 'have a family' is telling

This is the way the world has ALWAYS been

I think the world will be ok without them.
